The Nelson Ministry of Children and Family Development Office celebrated Child and Youth in Care Week by hosting a barbecue at Lakeside park for foster parents and children and youth in care in Nelson and surrounding areas. Many local businesses supported the event including Walmart, Safeway, Save-On-Foods, Kootenay Bakery, Real Canadian Wholesale Store, Nelson and District Community Complex and the Nelson Star. It was a beautiful day and the turnout was great.
