Nelson families visited Touchstones Nelson's annual Fall Family Fair on Sunday.
Children got a chance to create a variety of crafts, including embossed tin decorations and cozy felt leaves, while indigenous harvesting expert Ric Bivar discussed history and shared fossils, artifacts and stories with passersby.
One of the highlights was a puppet show room, where Kellan Bateman and his younger sister Isis played with their father Ben. Kellan's performance included a T-rex attacking a fairy tale castle.
Admission was by donation and half of the proceeds went to IODE.
