HUGS: To the awesome plow guy who keeps our roadways clear at Grandview Properties. We appreciate all the effort you put in to plowing our driveway.

SLUGS: To the City of Nelson for finding the resources to widen the airport runway and the parking for the dog walk, but not the residential streets, particularly in Rosemont. HUGS to the private Bobcat operator who did widen some streets on the weekend.

HUGS: Great big hugs to the three wonderful people who helped get me (in my wheelchair) and dog down Barnes Road on Jan. 4. I made the mistake of thinking the road was plowed and ventured down in my motorized chair, only to quickly get stuck in the snow repeatedly. Thank you for not only coming to my rescue, but for also walking with me to make sure I got to a clear/plowed road to make my way home. Your help and kindness is appreciated so much!

SLUGS: Big slimy slugs to all of the people who walk the city’s beautiful dog walk by the Nelson Airport and refuse to clean up after them. I was so disappointed that I will not be back until people take responsibility for their animals. The city has given us this wonderful piece of land and water to walk our pets in safety and this is how we thank them. Shame on you.

HUGS: To all the Whitewater patrollers for doing their best to keep everyone safe and helping all the injured off the resort. Everyone has done an amazing job and you deserve nothing but appreciation for all your hard work this season.
