HUGS: To the coffee saviour. Thank you to kind young chap who chased me down and brought my attention to my coffee cup on top of my car this week at Hall and Vernon. Not a bad journey from Carbonate Street.

HUGS: To people who pick up other people’s trash, including what we see around the garbage dump areas that probably flies out of the back of pick-ups.

SLUGS: To people who I have seen refuse to slow down for the animals trying to cross the road. There are so many huge blood spots and dead animals along the roads. This time of year the babies are trying to learn how to cross to follow their parent. Please be considerate of the native animals.

HUGS: To the bus drivers in Nelson. In my experience you all continue to be friendly, kind, and patient to all who ride. Thank you.

HUGS: To the doctors/staff of KLH for taking such good care of me and to the two women in my room whom I couldn’t see but I could hear. Your talking comforted me, I didn’t feel so alone, and when the pain became excruciatingly unbearable, I suddenly heard your beautiful singing to try make it better. You asked me if it were helping and I could not respond at the time. Yes it helped, bless you!
