HUGS: To the person who picked up the BMO Mastercard I dropped on the doggie walk by the airport road. You went the full distance and even delivered it to the Bank of Montreal, where I showed up 10 minutes later to cancel my card, only to have it handed back to me. The teller just smiled and said: “This is Nelson!” Thank you so much!
SLUGS: To the young men whom smashed the traffic mirror at the Morgan-Park St. intersection in the middle of the night during your bravado antics. Thanks for waking up the neighbourhood and damaging crucial equipment that helps traffic at a dangerous intersection. Luckily the video camera that’s set up captured footage of you and it’s going to be sent to the police!
HUGS: To kind people in the community who prepare pre-loved items for gifting to those who may not have as much. But SLUGS to the selfish people who put out free stuff (usually trash, rarely a treasure) on public property and leave it picked over day after day.
HUGS: To the great crew who worked on the infrastructure on Fourth Street. And I am so grateful that we also have new sidewalks along parts of Fourth Street. They were much needed.
HUGS: To all responsible dog owners. It’s nice going for walks without seeing mounds of feces and being rushed at by your “friendly” dogs.
HUGS: To the person who found my $700 prescription glasses and put them on the ledge at Relish so they would be safe until I found them.
SLUGS: To the anti-vaxxers who cause so many deaths by filling available ICU beds with coronavirus patients.
