Busloads of bands flocked to Nelson for the Cantando Music Festival this weekend, from as far away as Whitehorse, Edmonton and Langley.
More than a dozen bands are participating in the non-competitive festival designed for North American school wind ensembles, concert bands, jazz bands, and choirs.
There are a mixture of musical performances and workshops at Selkirk College’s 10th Street campus, Mary Hall, the United Church and Shambhala Hall.
