Kootenay Christian Fellowship is doing something it has never done before.

We have never asked for funds for our facility that houses Our Daily Bread, SPCA, and SHARE Nelson and the many good services it provides.

However, due to current financial conditions, we are launching a fundraising drive to reduce our present mortgage in the amount of $100,000 by Feb. 28. If successful, we will be able to save approximately $20,000 in just the first year. That saved money will go towards people who need it the most.

If you are able to give towards this campaign, (all giving is tax deductible) please donate to KCF’s Help People Not Banks fund. We accept cheques, e-transfers to office@kcfoffice.com, or credit cards.

Our campaign was launched Jan. 15, raising $35,000 thanks to awesome support from people like Jennifer and Ron Taylor and many others.

During our 30-year existence, we have asked for community support for program funding, like Our Daily Bread. But we have never asked for capital funding. Presently, KCF has a $720,000 mortgage. If a portion of this or all of it could be retired, the extra funds would go along way in providing for people in need.

If you have any questions please contact Pastor Jim at pastorjim@kcfoffice.com for more information.
