L.V. Rogers’ grad ceremony and cavalcade will be held in June.

LVR principal Ben Eaton said the cap and gown ceremony will be held June 10 and 11. The details on how the event will be organized during the pandemic, he said, are still being worked out.

The annual cavalcade meanwhile will roll through Nelson on June 12 at 4 p.m. The route of the cavalcade is also still being plotted.

In-person cap and gown ceremonies were scrapped in 2020 and replaced by a smaller event at the high school with families invited one at a time, as well as a virtual ceremony.

The traditional cavalcade, however, did go ahead as planned and was the first community gathering of any type in the months following B.C.’s initial lockdown.
