Leafs, Finley’s to raise funds for families of deceased Nelson officers

A burger and beverage event as well as a fundraising at a Leafs game will be held Saturday

The Nelson Leafs are hosting a fundraiser during their game Saturday for the families of deceased Nelson Police Department officers Det. Wade Tittemore and Const. Mathieu Nolet.

A donation table will be operated by Nelson Minor Hockey and Save-On-Foods will be on hand with their spin-to-win wheel, with all proceeds going to the Tittemore and Nolet families.

Tittemore’s sons Devin and Seth will also be on the ice as the seventh and eighth players for the Leafs’ starting lineup, and a mini-youth game will be held during the first intermission featuring Devin.

Leafs tickets to the game are also being donated to the first 100 customers at Finley’s Bar and Grill on Saturday for their burger and beverage fundraiser, which runs 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets to the Finley’s event are $25.
