On Oct. 25, Nelson Brewing Company received the outstanding news that its Loki Lager secured not one, but two awards at the Canada Cup Beer Awards. Loki Lager emerged victorious, securing gold for Best International Lager and bronze for Best in Show Overall!

Crafted with care and passion, Loki Lager is a classic reimagining of a craft lager, designed to be as epic as its mythical namesake. This award-winning lager is a testament to the brewery’s commitment to excellence, delivering an easy-drinking experience that epitomizes the true essence of craft beer.

Brewery co-owner Matt Walker was the original advocate for adding Loki Lager to their list of core beers.

“I always felt that there was a need for a light, easy-drinking lager in our lineup of beers. Something for after the big game or long workday that was crushable and refreshing, but also high quality. I’m glad we decided to give it a go, as our Loki Lager quickly became one of our top sellers province-wide. Kate and I couldn’t be prouder of our NBC team!”

Nelson Brewing Company recently celebrated its 32nd year, and is situated in a historic building that has been the home of various breweries since the 1800s.

As one of the original craft breweries in B.C., NBC has been a trailblazer in the craft beer movement since its inception in 1991.
