The Nelson Road Kings car show over the weekend featured a record number of more than 460 vehicles.
The classic cars, trucks and other vehicles were inspected, discussed, photographed and appreciated by throngs of Nelson residents during the Show and Shine event on Baker Street on Saturday.
Paul Bowolin, one of the directors of the Nelson Road Kings, said the two years of pandemic cancellations were hard.
“We have been holding off for two years, so now we are getting out there and doing everything we can,” he said.
The two-year hiatus gave people time to work on new cars, Bowolin said, making it even more exciting for them to come to Nelson for the show.
Bowolin said the Road Kings have received lot of praise from classic vehicle owners, this year and in the past, about how well-organized and enjoyable their event is.
“We try to make everybody as comfortable as possible,” he said.
