Chamber music lovers will not want to miss this opportunity to hear virtuoso classical guitar-double bass duo Bolshoy-Masciadri at St. Saviour’s Pro-Cathedral in Nelson.

On Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m., the duo will be delving into the lyrical and Latin side of the double bass and guitar repertoire with pieces by composers such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Villani-Cortes, Heitor Villa-Lobos, and Gabriel Fauré.

People familiar with the Kaslo Guitar Festival, will be aware of Canadian guitarist Daniel Bolshoy’s numerous performances and master classes. In the words of The Ottawa Citizen, he “possesses a technique of the highest order”. Milton Masciadri is the winner of the Leonardo da Vinci World Award of Arts in recognition of his multi-faceted career as a performing artist, cultural ambassador, educator, international leader and author and for his contributions towards disseminating culture as a UNESCO Artist for Peace.

Both Bolshoy and Masciadri have busy international performance schedules, and we are fortunate to be able to hear them in Nelson. The beautiful St. Saviour’s Pro-Cathedral will provide an inspiring experience and incredible acoustics for this fantastic concert, Monday, December 3, 2018 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15 and are available at Otter Books and at the door.
