The bright lights of the Big Apple await Lillea Goian.

The Nelson fashion designer has raised enough money to attend New York Fashion Week next month after earning an invite to show her work at the prestigious event.

Goian said last month she was in a bind to come up with the $10,000 needed for the career-change trip. The L.V. Rogers grad set up a GoFundMe page with the hope of securing the money in a short amount of time.

Goian told the Star she now had enough to go to New York after raising $8,960.

That means Goian’s vibrant, gender-fluid clothing will be on the runway in New York during Sept. 6 to 14.
