Nelson snow sculptors to compete at national event

Alex Avelino Lynn Vanpelt and Shayna Stonehouse will represent B.C.

A team of local snow sculptors will represent B.C. at a national competition next year in Edmonton.

Alex Avelino Lynn Vanpelt and Shayna Stonehouse won a competition last month at Vernon’s Silver Star ski resort.

The finished work of two military tanks joined at the barrels to form a circle with a peace dove in the middle was created to fit the competition’s 1960s theme.
