New scholarship to assist aspiring Nelson-area singers

Nelson and some regional district residents can apply for up to $1,000 in support

Echo Vocal Arts Alliance (EVAA) is excited to announce the launch of the EVAA Scholarship for Vocal Studies, aimed at providing financial support for individuals passionate about pursuing vocal training in any genre or style.

This scholarship is open to individuals over the age of 18, including those currently enroled in post-secondary education, as well as those seeking private instruction, workshops, masterclasses or mentorship.

The scholarship was created to support vocalists of all backgrounds from the City of Nelson and Regional District Areas D, E, F, G, and H with financial assistance of up to $1,000 to support the development of vocal abilities and pursue their passion for singing.

All applications must be received by May 15. The successful applicant will be announced in early June 2025.
