The parade was part of various events in Pride Week

Nelson residents have come to expect that the annual Pride Parade will be a colourful and exuberant spectacle, and this year's extravaganza was no exception.

The parade was followed by a block party at Cottonwood Falls Park, and preceded on Aug. 26 by the raising of the Pride flag at City Hall.

Other events before and after included Queer Games Night, All-Ages Coffee House, and a Hall of Fame event at the Nelson Public Library.
