Local businesses were encouraged to allow their staff to wear their favourite jersey to work in the last Friday of September to support Nelson KidSport. Participating employees were encouraged to donate a toonie to wear their jersey for the day. The money collected from the event will be donated to Nelson KidSport, an organization that offers grants towards children’s sports registration fees for families who would otherwise not be able to afford to participate in sport.
