Raising pennies with Perspective in Nelson

The L.V. Rogers Global Perspectives classes penny drive has come to an end.

The L.V. Rogers Global Perspectives classes penny drive has come to an end.

The high school students organizing the event say they “are extraordinarily thankful for the help from the community and students/staff of L.V. Rogers.” With help of the Nelson IODE and the Nelson Star, the group collected 13 bags all containing 2,500 pennies which they brought to the Royal Bank last week (right).

The effort by the students means they will be able to supply 13 people in impoverished nations with fresh water for the rest of their life.
