The Nelson & District Arts Council (NDAC) is looking forward to seeing the streets buzzing again with art lovers on Friday, July 29 for the second opening of ArtWalk 2022.
There are 27 venues and over 60 artists to explore. This opening is happening on the same night as the first Market Night so the ArtWalk hours will be a bit earlier in the hopes of getting folks out to explore the art before they head to the market. Venues will be open from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the Friday. The art will still be available to view up until the closing of ArtWalk on Sept. 4.
The night also included four mini performance spaces for musicians and entertainers,including the Judy Brown Band at the amenity area by Broken Hill, Talel McBriar at Red Light Ramen and Aurelien Sudan at AM Radio Cafe. Abby Wilson will be live painting by Remedy Rx as well.
ArtWalk is an annual tradition that has united businesses, artists, and community members for over three decades. The Nelson & District Arts Council encourages the whole community to come celebrate all things art.
