In preparation for growing in the greenhouses this fall, the Seniors Economic Environment Development Project (SEED) is currently planting off-site. The group invites the community to watch as they renew the Lakeside greenhouses. While organized by a committed group of seniors, the group is inviting passionate gardeners of all ages to become involved in the project. SEED aims to provide economic and food sustainability for the community by growing fresh fruits and vegetables for those in need. If you’d like more information about SEED or are interested in volunteering or donating, contact Lee Reid at 250-352-3870.
