The Slocan Valley Lions Club now has electric assist bikes available for those 55-plus to get out and enjoy the Slocan Valley rail trail. Don Munro of the Slocan Valley Lions Club, shows off the two new Wisper Bikes with Rory Lindsay and Dennis Stefanik of the Slocan Valley Heritage Trail Society. A third electric-assist trike is also on the way. Funding for the Seniors on Bikes and Skis (SOBS) Program was made possible through the New Horizons for Seniors Program.
