Submitted by Nelson Youth Action Network

The Nelson Youth Action Network is inviting all community members to our Spring Craft Fair Event on Saturday, May 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nelson and District Youth Centre.

Youth artisan vendors will be selling clothing, jewelry, journals, photography, art, hand-carved knives, leather bracelets, medicinal blends, pottery, and much more.

At 12 p.m. the Skate Jam will commence, sponsored by Ripping Giraffe Board Shop, and we will have a DJ playing. There will be three separate age categories for the skate competition, and the three judges to choose the winner from each age category. All day we will have a barbecue, and all proceeds with going back into NYAN programming.

We are still looking for skate jam participants in all age categories; 12 and under, 13-18 years old, and 18 and older. If you want to sign up, please call/text Sam at 250-551-8121 or email nyan@nelson.ca.

The Spring Craft Fair Event is for all ages and is a chance to have a long overdue get together with our community. Come down the NDYC to support local youth and help us celebrate.

This event is hosted by the NYAN, which is a grant-funded program by the Columbia Basin Trust for youth aged 12-18 years old.

We hope to see you there!
