With great joy St. Joseph school participated in its 10th annual walkathon on May 31. This year the students, parents, and staff raised money to support the Kokanee Creek Nature Centre and St. Joseph school programs.

Our local grocery stores made generous donations for the event: Save-On-Foods donated a $200 gift card that provided watermelons, water and freezies. They also provided a shade tent. Safeway donated oranges, juice boxes and provided a shade tent.

"A big thank you to the school community, and everyone that helped in the preparation and performance of the day," said principal Michael Carere. "It was especially great as we marked the 10th annual walkathon, along with celebrating St. Joseph school's 125th anniversary this year. I thank you for all the support, pledges, donations, and preparations in making this year's walkathon a success."
