There is one day each year when we officially celebrate the Earth and (re)commit to making choices that are good for our planet, our future and our sustainability.
Tomorrow from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nelson CARES Society’s Earth Matters program, the West Kootenay EcoSociety, and the Kootenay Co-op are proudly joining together in partnership to celebrate Earth Day with live music, prizes and contests, and information on how to participate in the Kootenay Earth Day Challenge.
Join in the festivities outside the Kootenay Co-op store for some celebrations, and tune into the live radio broadcast of EcoCentric on Kootenay Co-op Radio.
During this year’s Earth Day celebrations, you can speak with staff and volunteers to find out more about your local environmental organizations and initiatives.
