Nelson is one of 20 communities being considered as the best North American ski town in a USA Today poll.
The top-10 towns can be voted for online at www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-ski-town/. Voting ends at 9 a.m. on Nov. 20, with the results announced on Nov. 24.
Nelson is described in the pool as a place where, “rugged adventurers rub elbows with hippies and bohemians in its excellent cafes, bars and galleries centred around pedestrian-friendly Baker Street.”
Revelstoke and Whistler are the only other Canadian communities listed in the vote.
