Four medals for Kootenay Chaos at cross-country provincials

Four local runners earned medals at the B.C. Athletics Club Cross-Country Championships on Oct. 26 in Vernon.

Octavia Masse was the gold medallist while defeating all runners, boys and girls, over a 1.5-kilometre course in the under-10 category.

Her brother Oscar Masse was the silver medallist in the boys U14 three-km event, while Dawson Abraham was the bronze medallist in the U16 three-km race. Mitchell Erickson meanwhile took bronze in the U20 eight-km run.

The four runners competed for the Kootenay Chaos team.
