HUGS AND SLUGS: Props to LVR's grad organizers (and some drama, too)

Also, a hug to the sluggers

L.V. Rogers' annual grad cavalcade.

HUGS: To all the folks letting the boulevards go wild, helping the pollinators and keeping the earth cool and moist.

HUGS: To people posting Slugs about petty problems. You'll be OK. It's gonna be all right.

SLUGS: To drivers who allow their dogs to hang out of their car windows barking at pedestrians and bicyclists as they drive by. It is startling and could cause a crash or accident!

SLUGS: To the outrageous people who ruin the kindhearted nature of this town by posting anonymous hate speech to fellow residents. You should be ashamed of yourself!

HUGS: Thanks to all the people, young and old who helped and offered help to my husband when he fell on Baker Street a few weeks ago!

HUGS: To all the parent volunteers who made Nelson 2024 Grad such a success.  We knew grad was big in Nelson, but seeing it in person this year was amazing.  Thanks to everyone involved — organizers, volunteers, school staff and sponsors for taking part in creating this celebration.

SLUGS: Super slimy slugs to the woman at the LVR Grad who verbally assaulted me and aggressively put her hands on me, all over an empty seat!  What a horrible role model you were for our grads. But HUGS to the couple who witnessed the incident and asked if I was OK. I was pretty shaken and appreciated you checking on me.

HUGS: My husband and I went to the Prestige Lakeside Resort restaurant for sushi on June 18. Lovely meal and as we were about to leave, we asked for our bill and the waitress informed us that there was no charge because someone (friend of the family) had looked after the bill. What a total surprise, please accept our sincerest thanks, nothing like that has ever happened to us.  Again, thank you so much whoever you are.
