SLUGS: To helicopter noise!
HUGS: To the Hume and food bank for making Christmas dinner for those of us who needed that and the delivery that made the day all the brighter.
SLUGS: To the person/persons cutting fire wood up Kokanee Glacier Road. Super shame on you. This is the park. Also you are probably the same people who removed the "no firewood cutting" sign. Such a low, lazy way to get your firewood. The neighbourhood is watching.
SLUGS: Huge slugs to the realtor who booked a house showing two days before Christmas and decided not to show. Our family changed our plans for your client to see the house. Totally not good business practice.
SLUGS: To the neighbour who decided to plow Six Mile forestry road. This snowy wonderland road was enjoyed not just by snowmobiles, but also by people who use it to cross-country ski, snowshoe, and walk the dog. It was not yours to ruin but you have ruined it for so many people.
HUGS: I disagree with the slugs to the City of Nelson for not putting up Christmas festive lights. The beautifully restrained lights on all the trees lining Baker Street and elsewhere are a relief. They look very festive allowing the character of the city to quietly shine.
HUGS: To Todd for the incredible fireworks display on Solstice evening. It was so magical!
HUGS: A big hug to the workers at Nelson Hydro who regularly come out in challenging weather conditions to restore the power for us on the North Shore.
SLUGS: To the people who think trash-to-treasure is everyday, everywhere, any weather. Books, beds and clothes are junk after they are wet. Go to the dump, people. Do you think Canada Post and public mail recipients want to trip over and breathe someone else's trash?
