It’s the 10-year anniversary of the death of our brother, Peter de Groot. Without having committed any proven crime, he was rousted from his home, driven into the bush, man-hunted for three days and then shot and killed by RCMP on Thanksgiving Day, Oct. 13, 2014.
Thank you to all of those who have offered support over the years.
Especially, we appreciate the testimony of the eye witness to the events at Peter’s home and the testimony of the officer who shot at him first at that scene. This evidence was given at the public inquest into his death and confirmed our belief in him.
We continue to grieve his pure heart and soul and condemn the degrading and inhumane treatment he endured as well as his senseless and brutal death.
