Juno Award-winning comedian Jon Dore coming to the Kootenays

Canadian comedian Jon Dore is currently touring across B.C.

Juno Award-winning comedian Jon Dore will perform at Centre 64 in Kimberley on Friday, Feb. 14, one of his stops on the current OK, Dope Stand-Up Comedy Tour. 

Dore, originally from Ottawa, Ont., won the 2023 Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year for his work "A Person who is Gingerbread" and was listed as one of "10 comics to watch" by Variety Magazine. 

Dore is a regular on the comedy circuit throughout North America, frequently appearing to sold out-crowds at the Just For Laughs Festival across Canada, plus other major event stages including the Bonarroo Music and Arts Festival.

He has also done a lot of work in television, most notably appearing in the Emmy Award-winning sitcom "How I Met Your Mother."

In addition to numerous televised comedy specials, Dore also served as the host of HBO Canada's "Funny as Hell" for four seasons and starred in "The John Dore Television Show," a mockumentary series. He currently stars in "The Lake" on Amazon Prime. 

Dore performs in Nelson at The Royal on Thursday, Feb. 12, in Kimberley at Centre 64 on Friday, Feb. 14 and at The Knox on 2nd in Fernie on Saturday, Feb. 15.
