The Nelson and District Arts Council is thrilled to announce the return of the Dance Educators’ Showcase on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre.
This highly anticipated event spotlights the incredible dance educators in Nelson and area, giving them the opportunity to shine in the spotlight after countless hours spent nurturing their students’ growth. For one night only, these talented instructors (and some students as well) will come together for a rare performance that showcases their artistry, passion, and dedication to dance.
Audiences will be treated to a wide range of styles and performances, highlighting the creativity and expertise that these educators bring to our community. Styles you will see at this event include flamenco, broadway, jazz, highland dance, hip-hop, modern, contemporary, bolly-hop, salsa, bachata, kizomba and more!
What makes this showcase even more special? All profits from ticket sales will directly fund bursaries for local dance students, ensuring that those facing financial barriers can still access quality dance education. These bursaries will be shared among the participating schools and studios, helping the next generation of dancers pursue their dreams.
