The Nelson Leafs scored three late third-period goals to blow past the Golden Rockets 6-3 on Saturday.

Leighton Partington, Camron Wickham and Dawson Davis each scored in the final 10 minutes after the Leafs blew a 3-1 lead.

Partington had two goals, one of which was shorthanded, while Xaiden Bignell and Parker White also scored for Nelson (16-15-2). Jackson McLeod got the start in net and finished with 20 saves.

Nelson poured on the shots against Golden (8-23-2), forcing goaltender Kaeden Serpa to make 45 saves. Pierson Main, Brayden Bissell and Dominic Fiorentino had a goal each for the visitors.

The Leafs next play three home games in three days this weekend. They host the Castlegar Rebels on Friday, the Columbia Valley Rockies on Saturday and the Chase Heat in a matinee Sunday.
