Nelson: 21 candidates for council, three for mayor

Council candidates include four incumbents

Nelson voters have 21 city council candidates to choose from this year, and three mayoral candidates.

Former mayor John Dooley is challenging current mayor Deb Kozak, and that race has been joined by Bernie Brown, otherwise known as Bubbles the Clown.

The 21 candidates for council are:

  • Bob Adams (incumbent)
  • Robin Cherbo (incumbent)
  • Janice Morrison (incumbent)
  • Anna Purcell (incumbent)
  • Margaret Stacey (has previously served on council)

  • Charles Jeanes (has run in the previous eight elections)
  • Brian Shields (also ran in 2014)

  • Michelle Hillaby
  • Robbie Kalabis
  • Heather Keczan
