Incumbent Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) director Ramona Faust won handily over challenger Reggie Goldbury in Area E in Saturday’s election.
Faust, who has served three terms on the RDCK board, finished with 747 votes to Goldsbury’s 370.
Area E includes the south side of the West Arm of Kootenay Lake plus the north side from Queen’s Bay to Kokanee Creek.
In Area F, incumbent Tom Newell was re-elected by acclamation. Area F covers the north side of the West Arm from Crescent Beach to Bonnington.
Meanwhile in the race for School District 8 trustee for Salmo, Taghum and Blewett, Susan Chew earned 573 votes to defeat Lance Gotzy (180).
