The hallways of L.V. Rogers were jammed with 400 students on Monday morning and not a peep could be heard. The 20 minutes of silence was part of the Drop Everything and Read Challenge that took place throughout Kootenay Lake district schools this week. For its part the local high school held a read-in which was the reason for the strange quiet in the usually raucous corridors.
