An area restriction for the Fry Creek wildfire that is burning south of Argenta has been lifted.
The Southeast Fire Centre said in a statement Thursday that the fire is still active and the public should still be cautious within its area.
The Fry Creek fire, which at one point led to an evacuation alert for Johnsons Landing properties, was started by lightning on Aug. 25. It is currently listed by BC Wildfire Service at 900 hectares.
