RCMP say a house fire that killed a woman in Balfour last year is no longer considered suspicious.
A 45-year-old woman died in a fire on the 6100 block of Sykes Road on April 8, 2020. At the time, RCMP said the cause of the blaze was being investigated.
In an update Wednesday, RCMP said although they have still not determined what caused the fire, they believe it was likely an accident.
RCMP added the deceased woman will not be publicly identified due to privacy rules under the Coroners Act.
