Nelson Fire and Rescue says no one was inside a car that rolled into Cottonwood Creek on Tuesday evening.
They received a call around 6:30 p.m. and met with police and the vehicle’s owner to confirm there were no injuries.
Nelson’s emergency boat, Marine One, responded to the scene with two members to assist in preparing the vehicle with chain anchor points for removal from the creek by Western towing.
Damage was contained to the vehicle. No environmental hazards were apparent, the fire department said in a news release.
“We would like to remind everyone to ensure parking brakes are engaged when leaving your vehicle,” the fire department said.
