COVID-19 outbreak at Kootenay Lake Hospital declared over

Eight patients were infected, but there were no deaths

Interior Health says a COVID-19 outbreak is over at Kootenay Lake Hospital.

The health authority said Wednesday the outbreak had led to eight patient cases and no deaths since it was first announced Aug. 26.

The outbreak was the second time in less than a month that the virus had spread on the hospital’s third floor medical unit.
