A house in lower Kaslo, a block below the SS Moyie and two doors from the Beach Gables guesthouse, was flattened Friday. Built in 1902, it was owned by former postmistress Verna Bowker, and later by her daughter and son-in-law. It's been a fixture on Front Street, directly across from the beach, for all that time. Jim Yount kindly sent us these photos of the demolition, which took about three hours to complete. A new home is expected to be built on the site.
