Nelson police arrested a man this afternoon after a short chase that began in the Chahko Mika Mall parking lot.
Sgt. Howie Grant says the initial complaint around 2:10 p.m. was from a citizen about people drinking in public.
When police went to investigate, the suspect fled.
They caught up with him, but only after one of the officers fell on some rocks. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Grant says drugs were found on the man, although he wasn't sure what kind.
