A man has been charged with a series of crimes after allegedly breaking into an Uphill home on Thursday, holding the resident against his will and assaulting him
Nelson police say the victim, who knew his attacker, was able to call them for help.
They arrested the suspect who is being held pending a court appearance. He’s charged with break and enter, forcible confinement, assault, and uttering threats.
Investigation continues into burglary
Police are also investigating a residential break and enter in the Uphill area on Saturday. The culprits got into through an unlocked door and took various items.
The investigation is ongoing.
