One person has been hospitalized with stab wounds and another is in custody after an altercation in Kaslo on Monday.
A 68-year-old male was found by Kaslo RCMP with wounds to his upper torso on C Avenue at 5:20 p.m., according to a release. He was first taken to Kootenay Lake Hospital, then later to Kelowna Hospital and is expected to recover.
A 62-year-old male was apprehended and is awaiting a bail hearing. RCMP said in the release both men knew each other.
Both Kaslo RCMP and Kootenay Boundary Regional General Investigative Section are investigating the incident.
