As the investigation into the bank robbery in Salmo continues, RCMP are looking for the owners of a silver pickup truck.

Police released a picture of the vehicle connected to the armed robbery of the Kootenay Savings Credit Union in Salmo on February 24.

“Investigation has also confirmed a silver/gray pickup truck departing the area shortly after the robbery towards Nelson on Highway 6,” Salmo RCMP corporal Debbie Postnikoff wrote in a press release earlier this week. “The truck is possibly a Toyota Tacoma.”

Salmo RCMP also released images captured on video surveillance of a man wearing a purple coat and light tan coloured hiking style footwear.

Police are requesting that if you know of anyone that may have been in the area at the time and drives or owns a similar truck, that you contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or the Salmo RCMP detachment at 250-357-2212.
