More rainbow crosswalks for Nelson?

Three young women brought the idea to city council last week.

From left, Hopi Glockner, Sadie Glockner, and Rose Shine  were among the young people who painted the rainbow crosswalk near the Nelson library recently. They appeared before city council on October 26 to ask permission to repaint it in the spring and add another in front of the Civic Theatre, paid for by donations. Council did not make a decision but seemed very receptive. Both photos by Bill Metcalfe
