Denver Tyler Skey pleaded not guilty in Rossland court on Monday to two charges of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, resulting from the incident that led to the cancellation of the Mount Sentinel graduation ceremony in June.
Skey chose to be tried by judge without a jury, and there will be a preliminary hearing at which the judge will decide whether there is enough evidence to proceed to a full trial.
On Thursday in Nelson court, Skey’s lawyer, Ken Wyllie, will present a summary of the issues and witnesses. After that, a date for the preliminary hearing will be set.
