Nelson celebrates Canada's 149th birthday

Cake was served (it's all gone now, sorry) and flags were waved at Lakeside Park on Friday.

Nelson threw a surprise birthday party for Canada on Friday to celebrate the nation's 149th year.

The city successfully kept the party at Lakeside Park a secret from Canada, which hadn't made any plans and just expected to spend the day at home.
