A couple local poets shared their work at a Nelson City Council meeting Monday. Will Klatte and Jane Byers were invited to open the meeting as part of the Mayor's Poetry Challenge, a national initiative started by the mayor of Regina last year. Thirty other municipalities across Canada also invited poets to their council meetings last year and more are expected to take part this year.
