Nelson police say they’ve arrested a man who broke into four different properties in the early hours of June 20.
The 26-year-old, who the Nelson Police Department said in a statement Friday is of no fixed address, is in custody and will face charges related to all four events.
“The Nelson Police Department would like to thank the business owners and witnesses who worked very quickly in providing statements and security video so that complete packages could be submitted to Crown Counsel supporting the charges.”
Police say the man allegedly smashed the front window of the Shell Gas Station before damaging displays and stealing items.
A little over an hour later police said he was in the area of the 100 block of Herridge Lane looking through vehicles. He also attempted to steal a bike.
Police said the man’s next stop was at Nelson Farmer’s Supply in Railtown, where he allegedly broke a window before leaving the scene.
He didn’t go far. Three minutes later he was at nearby Rona Maglio Building Centre, again allegedly smashing a glass front door and stealing several items.
