Nelson Police: Pedestrian hit by vehicle at crosswalk

The vehicle was not going fast and the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries

The Nelson Police Department is reminding pedestrians to wear high visibility clothing when walking at night after a person was struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred on the 200 block of Anderson Street at approximately 7 p.m. when, according to police, a pedestrian was struck on a crosswalk by a slow-moving vehicle.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
